Premier League team Manchester United and the MLS-All Star will play a friendly match this week. For Manchester United it will be a preseason game since the next season of the Premier League will start in August. For the main stars of the Major League Soccer it will be an exhibition match, although many of them won’t play long during the match.

This is the sixth year in a row that the MLS All-Stars will play the All-Star game against a foreign team. Although a match against Manchester United sounds interesting, the truth is that many of the team’s stars won’t be playing, including Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Owen Hargreaves, Ji-sung Park, Michael Owen, Nemanja Vidic and Michael Carrick.

Two of the big names that are confirmed for the game against the MLS All-Star team are Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, while for Javier Hernandez it could be a chance to get his first action with United. He scored twice for Mexico during the World Cup and got his first training with Manchester United last Monday.

The match will take place at the Reliant Stadium and a big crown is expected to attend. As to soccer betting odds, although the Manchester United is a strong team, the MLS All-Stars have done really well in the matches they played against foreign teams, beating Chivas, Fulham, Chelsea, West Ham United and Celtic. They only lost last year to Everton, with goalkeeper Tim Howard stealing the show.
